It may be the longest title in Gartner Magic Quadrant history, but it is a mighty fine honor in the ERP space.

Gartner has named IFS a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Single-Instance ERP for Product-Centric Midmarket Companies. This marks three years in a row that IFS has been recognized as a Leader in this area.

We have done it again…

It may be the longest title in Gartner Magic Quadrant history, but it is a mighty fine honor in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) space. And we couldn’t be more proud, or more humbled, to receive this designation for a third year in a row.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant Evaluation Process

The overall criteria underlying this evaluation haven’t changed dramatically from one year to the next. Vendors are assessed along two key dimensions:

  1. Completeness of Vision
  2. Ability to Execute

Leaders excel in both areas. According to Gartner,

“Leading vendors have offerings that appeal to the specific process needs of midmarket customers, show good support for user-centric ERP approaches, and are designed or streamlined for low TCO, while being available and well-supported in multiple regions.”*

Earlier this year, we at IFS launched the latest version of our ERP solution, IFS Applications 9. With this release, we demonstrated to the market, and to Gartner, our ability to deliver the capabilities we envisioned several years ago (IMC, layered application architecture, IFS Lobby, embedded customer relationship management (CRM), among noted others) – and all within one, elegant package. We also rolled out IFS Managed Cloud on Microsoft Azure to complete our comprehensive cloud offering, something which we know many of our customers will increasingly rely upon in coming years.

We remain focused on growing our business organically, through acquisitions and notably through our service provider partners and GSIs. Our global partner network continues to grow as we expand the framework to increase the number of certified feet on the street.

But we are not just going to sit back on this achievement, or any other for that matter. Magic Quadrant or no Magic Quadrant, we exist to serve our customers with best-in-class enterprise software solutions, day after day, month after month, and year after year. The fact that this prestigious research institution underwent a comprehensive evaluation to validate our commitment (as well as the satisfaction of our exceptional customers and our world class partners!) is icing on the proverbial cake. And I highly suggest you try a slice because it will be one of the best cakes you will have tasted.
