This installment of the IFS employee spotlight showcases Tapas Basak. Tapas is a Business Development Consultant in the Marketing team, currently based out of New Dehli, who has been with IFS for almost a year.
Get to know Tapas a little better as he shares what he likes to do in his free time and what he likes most about being part of the IFS family.
What motivates you to get up and go to work each morning?
There are multiple things that motivate me to get to work each morning. Some of my primary motivators are the opportunity to learn something new, and the ability to work with an incredibly passionate team to ensure success for our customers.
What do you like most about IFS?
There are so many parts I love. To name a few, the fantastic culture and friendly work environment, transparent leadership, management that truly cares, and an excellent work-life balance. All in all, it’s a great place to work!
What do you wish you knew at the beginning of your career?
I wish I knew that you don’t have to be perfect. It’s okay to fail as it provides the greatest learning opportunity. Now I view all situations as an opportunity to either win or learn.
How do you spend your time when you’re not working?
I spend the majority of my time outside of work with my family. The remaining bit I spend on hobbies such as aquascaping, gardening, and photography.
Where is your happy place in the city where you live?
Home! No matter how stressful the day is, the feeling of being home is bliss. It is also where I reconnect with who I’m meant to be, and what my priorities are.
