This week, meet Kailee Tapia, a Senior Software Engineer at IFS. Kailee has been with IFS for three years and is based out of our office in Milwaukee, WI. She has been developing the service capabilities for IFS Cloud and is excited about its launch.
Let’s learn more about her.
What are your roles and main responsibilities regarding IFS Cloud?
I’m responsible for developing the service capabilities within IFS Cloud. We’re expanding our Request Management capabilities which include appointment booking and other things that make it easier for our customers to create requests with less information.
For IFS Cloud, the service capabilities we are expanding are our Request Management capabilities, which include appointment booking within the request, automated work prep, and better usability for roles. All of this will make it easier for our customers to create requests with less information.
What are you most excited about for the launch of IFS Cloud?
As a software engineer, I’m excited to have a new and unified home for all of IFS’s capabilities. We’re bringing a best-of-breed solution to current and potential customers which will have a real impact on their businesses.
What was your favorite part about working on IFS Cloud?
My favorite part has been working with new people and gaining the opportunity to share knowledge with each other. If I were to sum up the experience of working on IFS Cloud I would say it was exciting, busy, collaborative and an incredible learning experience
In your opinion, what makes IFS Cloud a gamechanger for our customers?
What sets IFS Cloud apart is that it’s a unified home where customers will have a best-of-breed solution, and current customers can expand their footprint. By moving to a twice-yearly functional release cadence, customers won’t be waiting on new capabilities as long as they were in the past. We are always keeping the customer in mind throughout the support process, to make this the best product out there.
If you were a business, why would you deploy IFS Cloud compared to other solutions/products on the market?
I would deploy IFS Cloud because it offers choice.
Customers can deploy on-premise or on the cloud. They also have the ability to configure the solution to their business’ needs. I think this is a significant differentiator for IFS Cloud.
In your opinion, how will IFS Cloud enable customers to deliver on their moment of service?
There are two things that come to mind.
- Enabling customers with quick and knowledgeable responses to their support questions.
- The support-driven update cadence.
I think both will create a delightful experience for customers.
