Many partners provide industry expertise as part of their offering. But we also have those who explicitly focus on key business processes, independent of industry.
Timecorner is an IFS partner dedicated to improving the Human Resource capabilities within IFS’s product portfolio. This includes the module named Human Capital Management within IFS Applications™, so I talked to their CEO, Kjell Sandberg, to discuss what that entails.
How long have you been an IFS Partner?
Our history with IFS goes way, way back. I personally have been working with IFS since 1996 and been part of the journey for close to 25 years. In 2004 I started Timecorner as a standalone company and one of the first things on our agenda was to partner up with IFS.
Why did you decide to team up with IFS?
It is a combination of many things, but I think the “IFS platform” is something special. Through IFS Applications™ we can create unique customer solutions that are aligned with a company’s actual way of working. This level of agility makes it possible for us to meet the customers’ needs in a professional way by matching the product potential with local requirements.
When combining the Human Capital Management solution and IFS’s dedicated partner strategy, with Timecorner’s knowledge about HR, we’ve felt that it was a winning concept since day one. It gives us a strong business case when talking to potential clients.
Describe the ideal Timecorner customer.
In contrast to many other partners, we do not have a dedicated focus on a specific industry. We want to serve those customers that want to expand their use of Human Capital Management, regardless of which field they operate in.
That being said, you could also argue that companies with many employees have time reporting, work in shifts and have different types of skillsets, are in fact within a few key industries. Typically that would be manufacturing, energy and utilities and service. Which is, more or less, the same target market as what IFS themselves are focusing on as a whole.
In which countries do you operate?
We are part of the IFS Partner Network in the Nordics, while the majority of our customers are located in Sweden and Norway.
What makes Timecorner unique?
I am quite certain that we are one of the leading experts within Human Capital Management (HCM) when it comes to IFS.
We have the knowledge regarding HCM processes from a business perspective and the developing skills needed to create effective solutions based on it. This gives us the confidence needed to be ready for any challenge that the customer brings to the table.
I would also like to emphasize the way we work. We are always thinking about long-term sustainable solutions and high quality is one of our mantras.
How would you describe your firm’s values and how do they align with IFS?
Our values are engagement, innovation and cooperation. Values that we feel are close to IFS’s way of running their business. IFS is always looking ahead, following the trends, and offer great support to us partners. I think it is a good match since both companies try to have the best interest of the end customer at heart.
There are many trends in the market right now. Which do you find most important?
There are a lot of exciting things happening regarding Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics and automation. These are tools that have the potential to make so many parts of human resource work easier. At Timecorner, we want to be a part of this, helping customers to see the benefits and getting them to realize that it´s not just what you can achieve today, it’s also about how you can stay competitive in the future.
So, if you don’t plan to stay ahead of the curve, you will eventually lose. Industries are changing, processes are changing, and employees are changing, whether you like it or not. And we at Timecorner are here to help.
