With the strong growth that IFS is seeing I am grateful that we have long-running partners that are active in their local market. Serving customers that want to grow, improve and optimize their business.
I sat down with Curit’s co-founders Aase Apple Steffensen and Carsten Kaaber to hear how it all started and how they’ve experienced the partner journey with IFS so far.
How long have you been an IFS Partner?
We’ve been a partner of IFS since 2003, which is even before the strategic partner initiative started. You could say that we were an “early adopter” of the partner program. By becoming a partner at such an early stage, we felt that a lot of our input was listened to and we were able to take an active role in how IFS collaborates with its partners.
Why did you decide to team up with IFS?
Both of us had been working as IFS consultants in Denmark before we started the company.
To begin with the idea was to establish Curit as a company that provided consulting services on multiple software solutions. But we started to realize that almost every time we were visiting a customer we tended to steer them towards IFS. It was as if the Danish market didn’t know about this hidden treasure called IFS Applications. So we decided to take on the responsibility to show them how suited IFS Applications is for the Danish market. In 2010 we went “all-in” with IFS and in 2018 became a Gold Channel Partner.
Based on our growth, customer wins and awards in recent years, deciding to go with IFS has been the right choice for us.
Describe the ideal Curit customer.
We either look at a potential customer from an industry perspective or a process perspective. For us, a typical customer would be a manufacturing company with headquarters in Denmark and focuses on projects, engineer-to-order or configure-to-order.
Companies that have a certain level of complexity benefit a great deal from IFS Applications and our team of consultants. If you’re a company with a lot of internal trade, several subsidiaries, operations in multiple countries and legal requirements then it is very likely that you fit the bill.
In general, organizations where production, supply chain or multi-site are core elements in their business model, then we believe Curit and IFS is the best alternative.
This does not mean that we cannot handle more simple setups. Customers in all shapes and sizes are welcome here. It only means that we can beat all our competitors when it comes to those more complex customer demands.
In which countries do you operate?
We focus on Demark. But that doesn’t mean we don’t work outside of Denmark.
Our goal is to help Danish companies in painting the rest of the world red and white. We want to support our customers with their growth targets, and that often leads to expansion outside of the country.
What makes Curit unique?
Aside from our dedicated focus on the Danish market, we also consider us to have a somewhat unique position when it comes to the skillsets we have inhouse.
With more than 50 percent of our employees already being certified IFS consultants and more than 10 years of implementation experience, we are the go-to company if a customer wants to implement IFS Applications in Denmark.
Combining this with an agile organization, we consider ourselves to be more of a partner of our customers rather than handling them as clients and end-users. Thinking long term and growing together is the way forward.
How would you describe your firm’s values and how do they align with IFS?
Curit originates from the latin word Cura, which means “to care” or “cure”. The name was chosen in a brainstorm when we founded the company. We wanted the name to be an extract of our wish to let our customers rely on us and our goal to help them.
Caring about the customer is also the focus IFS has when emphasizing customer centricity. I would also say that having an innovative mindset is also very important for both IFS and Curit. While IFS continuously improves their products and offerings, we try to adapt to these improvements and be innovative in how we offer our services to the customer.
This combination of caring about the customer, looking for innovative ways of working together and applying the latest technologies, makes it easy for us to also say that we are #ForTheChallengers.
