The founding of IFS
IFS was founded in 1983 by a group of five Linköping University students. These five students, our company founders, were so committed to providing the best service possible that they pitched a tent right outside the main entrance of their very first customer, Barsebäck Nuclear Power. This allowed them to save costs and work double shifts, doing whatever it took to get the job done on time. Since then, IFS has grown quite a bit but that same ‘whatever it takes’ spirit still remains and exists in the form of our three company values today: simplicity, professionalism and commitment.

As an organization, IFS has come a long way since 1983. Today, IFS is a public company that employs over 2,800 people and supports more than 1 million users worldwide from a network of local offices and through a growing ecosystem of hundreds of partners.
