Today is an important day for IFS as we announce the appointment of Darren Roos as the company’s new CEO.

Darren joins IFS from SAP where he led the company’s cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) business. He’s previously held leadership and board positions at Software AG. He will continue to be an independent, non-executive Board Director for Micro Focus International.

Darren brings significant experience and skills in building global software business to IFS. He has earned a reputation as a customer advocate, industry thought leader and cloud expert, with a track-record and ability to consistently deliver results.

With an immediate plan to meet the many women and men that have built IFS into such a great business, Darren is starting his first day at the company’s HQ. This week alone, he will visit four IFS offices, with the plan to visit as many employees, customers and partners as quickly as possible.

Darren officially replaces outgoing CEO, Alastair Sorbie, on April 1, 2018. Like many IFS employees, Alastair has been with IFS for many years (over 20 years in fact!) and for last 12 years, he has led the business as CEO. He is now entering retirement, with plans to spend quality time with his family and travel the world. From all your colleagues at IFS: we thank you, Alastair!

In a blog that accompanied the results, Darren Roos, CEO, IFS also gave an update on the company. He highlighted the changes that he has initiated since his appointment in April. These include a new Chief Customer Officer, Michael Ouiussi and a Chief Product Officer, Christian Pedersen. He is also welcoming Jane Keith as Global Head of People and Culture (previously HPE and SAP) and Milena Roveda as the new Chief Finance Officer.
