On stage at the IFS World Conference 2015 in Boston, our CTO Dan Matthews today announced the launch of IFS Managed Cloud on Microsoft Azure. Customers can now have IFS fully-manage their cloud infrastructure, operating system, database, middleware, and IFS Applications in the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
Running IFS Applications on-premise requires skilled technicians to manage the application and underlying platform. IFS Managed Cloud on Microsoft Azure enables you to free up IT staff so that they can focus on helping you run your business. No more worrying about hiring, staff being off sick or on holiday, or how upgrades or patches are applied. We take care of it – all you need to do is manage your data, and have your business benefit from IFS Applications.
We have created IFS Managed Cloud on Microsoft Azure so our customers can run IFS Applications as effectively and efficiently as possible. You also told us that having the ability to scale is important. And you told us that security and reliability of business-critical applications cannot be compromised – this is something that both IFS and Microsoft are passionate about, so check out the Azure security and reliability credentials.
IFS Managed Cloud on Microsoft Azure is a single-tenant solution, which ultimately means that you stay in complete control even though we’re doing the heavy lifting for you.
In fact, we’re so confident in the solution, we’re actually relying on Microsoft Azure for the whole IFS World Conference, even running the keynote demos in Azure! If you’re with us in Boston, please pass by the booth in the exhibition hall to learn more. If you haven’t managed to get to Boston, you can read more on this webpage or by getting in touch with your local IFS team.
The new managed cloud solution forms part of the IFS Cloud offering and compliments the IFS Cloud – IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) solution that was launched last September, which has proved popular with customers in North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe.
