Rich Phillips is a chief technology and product leader at IFS, where he works on IFS.ai and IFS Operational Intelligence. He has spent his career turning emerging technology into products people actually use — industrial IoT platforms, machine learning for predictive maintenance, cloud data architecture and the governance that has to sit underneath it. That work has taken him through aviation and aerospace, defense, automotive, manufacturing, supply chain and smart city programs, much of it in regulated, safety-critical settings where the cost of getting it wrong is measured in more than money. Alongside the architecture, he builds the teams that deliver it and advises C-suites on where the commercial return really sits. A graduate of the University of Plymouth, he lives in the South West of England.
