IFS’s office in South Africa improved visibility, process control, reduced risk and enhanced access to information thanks to IFS Enterprise Operational Intelligence™.

Why IFS South Africa Selected an IFS Solution

At the South Africa office, a number of combined developments led the General Manager, Gawie van der Merwe, to initiate a review of processes. The good news was IFS had won a large but complex project, an implementation for over 1,000 users spread across 30 sites. There was a concern, however, around the ability to manage the delivery risks associated with this project. In addition, time recording and other pieces of business information were causing the month-end close timeline to be very tight and stressful.

After some discussion and analysis, the team in South Africa decided to implement IFS Enterprise Operational Intelligence (EOI).

The Results of Using Our Own Software

Using an agile development approach, continuous improvements were made over the course of approximately one year, resulting in greatly improved accuracy and availability of business information and risk management. Information from multiple business systems was combined; particularly helpful is that account managers now have online access to all their customer information such as service calls, contract status, invoice status, etc.
